Police are investigating the theft of a vehicle with keys left in it from a north Salina neighborhood Friday night.

Teasha Fisher, 29, of Salina, told police that she was visiting a friend in the area of North Eighth Street and West Pacific Avenue between 10-10:35 p.m. Friday, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning. She left her two-door silver 2003 Honda Accord (KS 212 NJB), valued at $1,500, parked in the street with the keys in the vehicle, he explained. When she came out after visiting her friend, the car was gone.

The car has damage to the hood from a previous accident, and there was a Sponge Bob and Plankton hanging from the rear view mirror, Forrester noted.
