On Wednesday, May 15, U.S. Representative Tracey Mann (KS-01) voted to advance the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization Act to be signed into law. The bill passed in the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 387-26. Rep. Mann released the following statement after the vote.

“Kansas has a deep history with aviation, and I am proud to support this legislation that keeps America as the global leader of the industry,” said Rep. Mann. “Maintaining the American gold standard of aviation requires strong leadership at the FAA that addresses some of the most challenging issues facing the industry, including workforce limitations, innovation and the development of new technology, aviation safety, and burdensome federal red-tape. This legislation addresses those issues while supporting Essential Air Service airports and policies that are crucial to the Big First.”

Yesterday, Rep. Mann spoke on the House Floor to encourage his colleagues to support the FAA reauthorization.

In June 2023, Rep. Mann voted to pass the FAA reauthorization bill, the Securing Growth and Robust Leadership in American Aviation Act, out of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. In July 2023, Rep. Mann also supported the bill on the House Floor.

Rep. Mann proudly serves on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the Aviation Subcommittee.

As stated in his Commitment to the Big First, Rep. Mann believes Kansans deserve an economy where innovation can thrive and is free of burdensome red-tape from the federal government.
