The Salina City Commission is scheduled to discuss a BASE grant application during a special meeting on Wednesday.
The meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday in room 107 of the City-County Building, 300 W. Ash Street. According to information from the city, an agenda will be posted on the city's website prior to the meeting.
According to the Kansas Department of Commerce, BASE (Building a Stronger Economy) grants are "designed to support infrastructure development to address economic development opportunities statewide with the goal of expanding the state’s base of businesses and residents."
Additionally, there will be no regular Salina City Commission meeting on Monday due to the Presidents' Day holiday.
