John Elmer Kroulik, Osage City

John Elmer Kroulik was born on May 31, 1976 in Salina, Kansas, the son of Duane L. and Connie L. Evert Kroulik. He died Sunday, March 7, 2021 in Osage City, Kansas at the age of 44.
As he grew up, his mom, brother and John lived in several Kansas towns and finally settling in Concordia, where he attended school and was baptized into the Catholic Church.
John was a free spirit and deeply loved his family. He was always known to help others, and enjoyed helping kids get turned around on the right track. He was a hitchhiker and was able to travel across the entire United States, making many friends along the way. He also had a strong bond with animals, and often traveled with his dog. He was an avid rock and crystal collector, and lived life to its fullest.
He was preceded in death by his father Duane, and his uncle Darrell and his best traveling companion, his dog, Old Man Bear, affectionately known as Bear.
John is survived by his loving mother, Connie Venzor and her husband Chris of Beloit; his brother, Richard and his girlfriend Sydnee of Lincoln, NE; his step siblings Brandi Dyke and her significant other Daniel Reddick and Bobby Dyke all of Concordia, KS, Justin Venzor and his wife April of Newark, OH, Aaron Venzor and his significant other Misty Meek and Amber Dozier all of Hallsville, TX and a host of neices, nephews, cousins and friends.
There will be a pot luck in Simpson, KS at the Community Center.
Funeral services will be at 10 AM Tuesday, March 16 at the Roberts Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1-7 PM Monday, March 15 at the funeral home. The casket will remain closed. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in John's name.
