Police are investigating a reported garage burglary/damage to property incident in central Salina Tuesday.
John Ratzlaff, 51, of Salina, told police that he had found some former tenants inside a garage on property he owned in the 200 block of South Fourth Street, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning. The former tenants did not have permission to be in the garage.
According to Forrester, Ratzlaff reported that the garage door and motor for the garage door opener were damaged ($800 value) and that there was red spray painted graffiti on the inside walls, causing an estimated $700 in damage.
Forrester noted that burglary charges were not requested for the former tenants and that the investigation continues.
