The Sacred Heart Knights traveled to Smith Center on Friday in hopes of finding a district win, but after a long night, the Redmen came out on top 76-8.
The lone score for the Knights came in the 2nd quarter as Maddox Wells connected with Kolin Wilson on a 15-yard pass. Gabriel Aguayo snagged an impressive catch on the 2-point conversion.
Aguayo led the Knights in both rushing and receiving, posting 92 total yards on a night where Sacred Heart struggled to move the ball.
Special teams showed life as Miles Mills broke free for several long returns, including a few of over 40 yards.
Smith Center dominated this game on the ground, rushing for a majority of their yards behind a strong performance by the Redmen offensive line.
The Knights (3-2) will make their way home next Friday as they look to bounce back against the Trinity Celtics (1-4).
