Juvenile arrested for making threat to burn house down in southwest Salina

A juvenile was arrested for making a threat to burn a house down in southwest Salina.

According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on January 31 at around 8:00 am, officers were dispatched to a group home in southwest Salina for the report of juvenile who made a threat towards residents.

Reportedly, a 15-year old female threatened the residents she was going to "burn the home down" after she was restricted access from using a phone, according to SPD.

Officers arrived and apprehended the suspect, but she allegedly shoved an officer during the process. As she was being loaded into a patrol vehicle, she then kicked the car door towards an officer.

After she was arrested, she was taken to Salina Regional Health Center for a general check up. She was then booked into the Juvenile Detention Center in Junction City for:
