Stephen E. “Steve” McDowell, 70, of Salina, Kansas, was born June 30, 1952, and passed Aug. 3, 2022.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Doreen; daughter Heather Wagoner, son-in-law Jared, and granddaughter Lauren; daughter Stephanie McDowell and son-in-law Derek Belton; siblings Linda Ash, Jim McDowell, and Lisa McDowell; and many cherished friends.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Jay McDowell.
A celebration of life will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 11, at First Christian Church on 2727 E. Crawford St. in Salina, followed by a luncheon at the Friendship Center on 746 Commanche Ave. in Salina. Cremation has taken place, and a private graveside service will be 9 a.m. at St. Paul’s Cemetery near Gypsum, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Southeast of Saline School District Education Foundation, 5056 E. K-4 Hwy, Gypsum KS 67448.
