Steven Ray Ediger, age 71, entered into rest on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at his residence in Jamestown, Kansas.  

Steve was born on November 19, 1953 in McPherson, Kansas to Theodore Norman Ediger and Wanetta D. (Peters) Miller.   He attended Concordia, Kansas schools and graduated in 1971.

He worked for 42 years at a metal fabrication plant known by many names including: Ehrsam, Combustion Engineering (CE), CE Natco, ABB Raymond, ABB Air Preheater, Alstom Power Air Preheater, Arvos Group, and Concordia Technologies. Steve held many positions in his 42 years, ending his career as Sales Manager.

On December 15th, 1984, he married Arlene Ruth Lichty at their newly purchased home in Jamestown. Steve and Arlene were able to celebrate 40 years of marriage. To this  marriage a son was born on August 29, 1993 and named Arthur Dalton Ediger, known as Dalton Ediger. 

Steve was an avid KU basketball fan. Fishing, hunting and golf were his hobbies that he shared with his son, Dalton. He took nearly 90 fishing trips to Lac Seul Lodge, Ontario, Canada. Steve fished with his family and many friends through the years.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his wife, of the home, son Dalton (Alyssa) of Wichita, Kansas, brother Ben (Pam) Ediger of Concordia, Kansas and sister Melba (Bernie) Meyer of Colby, Kansas, many nieces and nephews and many friends.

A Memorial Service was held 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 02, 2025, at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas with Randy Whitley officiating. 

Cremation was chosen and a private family burial will be held at a later date at Jamestown Cemetery.
