Cloud County Community College’s Music Department will present its Fall Choral Concert on Tuesday, November 12. The free concert will be at 7 p.m. in Cook Theatre on the Concordia campus.

The concert will feature the Cloud County Community Chorale/Concert Choir and the Cloud 9 Jazz Choir. New performers this year will be the Junction City Community Chorale. This new ensemble is part of the Geary County campus, and its members consist of students and community members. The group is directed by Olivia Arnold.

The Community Chorale/Concert Choir is a non-auditioned, community vocal ensemble that is open to singers from both the college and area communities. Cloud 9 Jazz Choir is an elite vocal music ensemble at Cloud. This auditioned choir consists of only nine singers divided into SATB (soprano, alto, tenor, and bass) parts.

The Jazz choir will perform several selections, including “You Can’t Step Twice into the Same River,” “Beethoven’s Fifth” (as performed by Penatonix), and “Yo Vivo Canto!” (I Love to Sing).

The Community Choir will perform “Oye La Musica,” “And So it Goes,” and “Elijah Rock.” They will be joined by the Junction City Chorale to perform “Ave Verum.”

The Junction City Choir selections include “Dona Nobis Pacem,” “How Can I Keep from Singing,” and “Va, Pensiero” (Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves).
