December 1, 1933 - March 25, 2021 (age 87)

Loren Drake - Loren was born December 1, 1933 on the family farm in Bennington, Kansas to William and Matilda (Reh) Drake and passed away peacefully on March 25, 2021 at the age of 87.

He graduated from Bennington High School in 1951 and spent his career farming in the Bennington area. In the 1960s and 1970s he worked part time at the Bennington Locker Plant. In the 1980s he spent time driving over the road trucks with his friend; Lloyd Sheffler. He was a member of the Bennington Fire Department for more than 30 years.

Loren was preceded in death by his parents, brother William and sister Lela Boggs.

He is survived by a son Larry and his wife Diane and dear friends Marvin Ballou, Al Geisen and Clark Rowell.

He chose to be cremated and will be interred in the Bennington Cemetery. It is our intent to have a memorial celebration in the near future and a notice will be put out when a date is determined. All will be welcome.
