If you love horses, Salina is the place to be this week.
The Kansas Horse Council's annual celebration, EquiFest of Kansas, will be at the Saline County Livestock and Expo Center and Tony's Pizza Events Center Thursday through Sunday.
Salina has served as the home of the Kansas Horse Council's primary fundraiser since 2020.
The event includes the following.
●Horse competitions and workshops
●Special demonstrations
●Top horse clinicians
●More than 100 vendors
●Live music and entertainers
Wristband passes are available daily at the box office of Tony's Pizza Events Center, 800 The Midway, for $20 per day or $50 for three days. The box office is scheduled to be open the following hours.
8:45 a.m.-9:45 p.m. Thursday-Saturday
8:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Sunday
Additionally, a Twilight Special ($10 per day) will be available at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Admission is free to everyone on Sunday, but those attending will still need to obtain wristbands so that the organizers can get an accurate attendance count, according to information on the Equifest website.
Children ages 12 and under will be admitted at no charge, but also will need wristbands for attendance purposes.
