Military Honors will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas

Loun M. Crawford, 90, died April 13.  He was born on April 12, 1930 in Clay Center, the son of George and Lottie Mae (Bergman) Crawford. Loun married Mary Adina Johnson on July 4, 1958, she preceded him in death on October 26, 2009. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was in Korea for one year and four months.  In September of 1962, Loun received the Craftsmanship Award from the American Institute of Architects for his work on the "Choir Boy" doors at the First Congregational Church in Manhattan and those doors are still there today.  He worked for Erickson Building and Supply for 28 years and he owned and operated Crawford Cabinet Shop from 1974 until his retirement in 2008.  Loun was a member of the United Methodist Church, VFW, where he was past commander, American Legion and BPOE, all of Clay Center. He was also preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lelia Eye and Lois Lee; brothers, Leonard, Lawrence, Lowman, Lyman, Leeland and Lowell Crawford.

Daughter: Sandy and husband Bill Fox of Clay Center, KS

Daughter: Candan and husband Dan Spellman of Geneva, IL

Daughter: Mindy and husband Chad Curtis of St. Cloud, FL

9 Grandchildren: Elease Thompson, Jacob Spellman, Garrett Fox, Scott Thompson, Quade Spellman, Tanner Fox, Jenna Curtis, Cami Curtis and Delayna Curtis

Memorial Services and visitation will be held at a later date and announced by the funeral home
