City of Salina expects two weeks of construction work to occur north of town

City of Salina

Beginning Thursday, September 4, the Utilities Department will be working in the 400 block of W. South Street. Pavement will be removed to replace a water service. W. South Street will be closed to traffic between S. 9th Street and S. 10th Street. Eastbound W. South Street traffic will be detoured north on S. 10th Street and then east on Walnut Street.

Westbound W. South Street traffic may turn north or south at S. 9th Street. Residents will be provided access from S. 10th Street.

Work is expected to last two weeks, weather permitting. 

Appropriate barriers will be in place to ensure the safety of workers. Motorists may encounter minor delays and are encouraged to find alternate routes.
