Michael Lee "Mikey" Formoso, 51, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 6:25 p.m., Saturday, October 9, 2021 while in the company of family members at McPherson Hospital.
Michael was born in Wichita, Kansas on May 31, 1970, son of Manuel A. and Linda J. (Hendrickson) Formoso.
Michael attended McWhorter Grade School, Vanston Junior High School and attended North Mesquite High School, Mesquite, Texas.
He was a member of Hope Community Church in Andover.
Michael enjoyed Star Wars movies, fishing, hunting, cooking and loved spending time with his friends and family.
Michael Formoso was united in marriage to Melissa Pritchett. The young couple established their first home together in Kleberg, Texas. This union was blessed with two children, stepdaughter Kristen and Brittany.
He is survived by his daughter Brittany Smith and her husband Keith, of Fort Necessity, Louisiana and his stepdaughter Kristen Maestas and her wife Christine, of Seagoville, Texas; his brother Manuel Formoso and his wife Denise, of Commerce, Texas; and his mother Linda Formoso of McPherson, Kansas. He is also survived by his four grandchildren.
Michael was preceded in death by his father Manuel Formoso.
Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Glidden - Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas, with Pastor Robert Martin officiating.
