McPherson County reports 9 new cases of COVID-19

MCPHERSON -- The McPherson County Health Department today reported nine new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the county total to 223.

Following is the information about the new cases, as provided by the health department.

Cases identified Saturday

●Positive case No. 215 is a symptomatic female in her 20s with unknown exposure.

●Positive case No. 216 is a symptomatic male in his 20s with known family exposure.

●Positive case No. 217 is an asymptomatic male in his 60s with unknown exposure.

Cases identified Monday

●Positive case No. 218 is an asymptomatic female in her 80s with unknown exposure.

●Positive case No. 219 is a symptomatic female in her 20s with known family exposure.

Cases identified Tuesday

●Positive case No. 220 is a symptomatic female in her 60s with known family exposure.

●Positive case No. 221 is a symptomatic male in his 80s with unknown exposure and is hospitalized.

●Positive case No. 222 is a symptomatic 17-year-old male with unknown exposure.

●Positive case No. 223 is an asymptomatic female in her 70s with known exposure.

Of the 223 confirmed cases, 198 have met Kansas Department of Health and Environment recovery guidelines and three active cases are hospitalized, the health department noted. Additionally, the county has one COVID-19 related death, the health department reported.
