Two minor earthquakes shook part of Saline County early this morning, according to the Kansas Geological Survey.

The first, a 2.1 magnitude quake, struck at 1:40 a.m. Monday and was centered northeast of the intersection of South Holmes Road and East Salemsborg Road.

The second, a 2.6 magnitude quake, struck at 4:44 a.m. Monday and was centered just north of Kansas Highway 4 on the west side of South Simpson Road. The second earthquake was northeast of the first.
