November 2, 1926 - July 14, 2021

Nan Elizabeth Hale, the daughter of Clyde and Nellie (Fry) Burton was born November 2, 1926 at Parkerville, Kansas. She was the fifth child born to this union. Nan attended school in Morris County until her parents moved to Canton, Kansas where she graduated.

Nan was united in marriage to Foster Busby on August 1, 1944. To this union three children were born, Larry, Kay and JaNelle . They were later divorced and she was later united in marriage to Richard Hale.

She worked outside of the home in the insurance field being an underwriter for several insurance companies within the state of Kansas.

Nan was a homemaker and took great pride in providing for her family and home. She was a member of the First Christian Church, American Legion Auxiliary Post #24 and the VFW Post 2715. She served the Auxiliary as district president and took great pride in that.

Nan was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend to many. Her wise counsel, gentle but firm guidance and sense of humor will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

She was especially fond of all her grandchildren, always looking forward to their visits and time spent together. She could often been seen at a baseball game in one hundred degree heat and in cold wet weather watching a soccer game.

Nan enjoyed playing cards, dancing, reading, cooking and spending time with her family.
