The Kansas Wesleyan Men's Soccer team locked in the No. 2 seed in the upcoming KCAC Tournament with a 3-0 win over Bethany on Thursday night at JRI Stadium.
The Coyotes dominated the match outshooting Bethany 28-4.
Wesleyan's first goal came in the 13th minute as Noel Zimbeva scored off an assist by Seth Flores. Flores had the ball on the left side near the touch line and played it back to Zimbeva unmarked in the box for the goal.
It was the lone goal of the first half.
Jakob Treitl scored for the Coyotes in the 63rd minute off a double assister by Cole Walgren and Tristan Bayssade. Walgren had possession deep in the box on the right side and crossed over to Bayssade who one tapped to Treitl for the goal.
In the 72nd minute, Trevor Peal scored his first varsity collegiate goal of his career off a pass from Zimbeva.
Zimbeva led the Coyotes with five shots. Santiago Pagnutti had one save on a shot in the waning minutes of the match, but was not really challenged during the match as KWU dominated possession.
