UPDATE: Small earthquakes shake parts of SE Saline County

UPDATE 6:55 p.m. Sunday: A second earthquake struck southeastern Saline County today.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 2.2 magnitude earthquake struck at 4:33 p.m. Sunday southwest of Gypsum. The quake was centered northeast of the S. Cunningham Road/E. Assaria Road intersection.

A 2.1 magnitude earthquake struck at 11:32 a.m. Sunday southeast of Assaria, according to the Kansas Geological Survey. It was centered just north of E. Lapsley Road between S. Cunningham Road and S. Woodward Road.
