LAWRENCE, Kan. ā The Kansas Jayhawks will return home to take on the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 11 a.m. CT, the Big 12 Conference announced on Monday. The game will air on ESPNU.
Kansasā Oct. 4 matchup will also serve as Family Weekend. The meeting between the Jayhawks and Blue Raiders will be the first in the series history.
It will be Kansasā third game of six at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium, as the Jayhawks defeated Long Island, 51-6, on Sept. 4 and fell to No. 23 Missouri, 38-21, on Sept. 11. Kansas will host Homecoming against Baylor on Saturday, Oct. 24, before welcoming UCF on Nov. 7 and BYU on Nov. 21.
The Jayhawks return home after playing across the pond in London against Arizona State in the inaugural Union Jack Classic, falling 24-17. Middle Tennessee is currently 2-1 with wins over Murray State (Sept. 5, 38-14) and Nevada (Sept. 19, 27-20) with their only loss coming on the road at Marshall on Sept. 12, 28-26. Middle Tennessee will take on Jacksonville State on Saturday, Sept. 26 before coming to Lawrence on Oct. 3.
It will be Kansasā first 11 a.m. game and its second time playing on ESPNU this season.
