The Saline County Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of multiple items from a storage unit just outside the north Salina city limits.

Sometime between April 18 and Sunday, someone cut the Master Lock padlock off of a storage unit in the 1000 block of W. Grand Avenue, Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said this morning. 

Items belonging to a 72-year-old man that were taken include a wire welder, a two-ton racing jack, multiple tools, an upright battery charger, compressors, and a car battery. Total loss, including $25 damage to the lock and $150 damage to the door was estimated at $2,395.
