Eleanor F. Stafford, 94, of Belleville, passed away April 14.
Eleanor “Ellie” Faye (June) Stafford was born on August 25, 1928, in Mansfield, Ohio, the daughter of Russell Edward and Faye Marie (Campbell) June.
Eleanor grew up in Mansfield, graduating from Mansfield Senior High School. She then attended Mansfield Business College.
She was united in marriage to Richard Lee Stafford on June 8, 1947, in Mansfield, and to this union four children were born. The family made their home in Mansfield, Ohio, for many years before relocating to Republic County in 1983.
Ellie worked as a CNA at the Republic County Hospital for many years before she retired. She was active in the United Presbyterian Church, and community organizations.
Ellie passed away on April 14, 2023, at the Republic County Hospital, at the age of 94 years, 7 months, and 20 days.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard in 2015, son David Lee Stafford in 2019, her sister Dorothy E. Hargrave and brother Donald L. June.
She is survived by her children, son Alan Richard Stafford of Goldfield, Nevada; daughter Lisa Marie Rider-Stafford of Ft. Worth, Texas, and son Gregory Scot Stafford of Belleville. Eleanor is also survived by her grandchildren Sara Isaccson (Greg) of Salida, Colorado, Josh Stafford (Christina) of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, Kelly Bauer of Pittsburg, Kansas, and Sean Stafford of Emporia, Kansas.
Graveside memorial services will be held at the Belleville City Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Eleanor Stafford Memorial, and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
