A vehicle parked at a south Saline County home catches on fire.
According to the Saline County Sheriff's Office on Friday at about 11:40 am, deputies were dispatched to a residence in south Saline County for the report of a vehicle on fire.
Reportedly, an 81-year-old female arrived home and parked her vehicle halfway into the garage. Shortly after, she heard what sounded like an explosion.
The woman went to go check and saw that her engine compartment was on fire.

A deputy in the area was able to contain the fire with a fire extinguisher. As the Salina Fire Department was on the way, the fire rekindled.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire once they arrived.
The vehicle was a 2017 Ford Fusion, and the value was $6,000.
