The Saline County Commission plans to consider multiple action items at its meeting Tuesday morning, including two grants, some new vehicle purchases and the appointment of two Smolan Township officials.
About the meeting
Saline County Commission is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday in room 107 of the City-County Building, 300 W. Ash Street. The meetings also can be viewed on Saline County’s YouTube channel:

Agenda Items
During the meeting, Saline County Commissioners plan to tackle approvals of tax roll adjustments, accounts payable and a public forum agenda.
The commission also plans to appoint two Smolan Township officials — Jaleah Morgan for Smolan Township Treasurer and Mayo Morgan, a township trustee.
Alongside these appointments and approvals, the commission plans to look at the Annual Central Kansas Regional Public Health Emergency Preparedness Grant contract and the annual Women, Infants and Children, or WIC, Grant contract for the fiscal year 2024.
Saline County also plans to purchase some new trucks and improve the electrical systems for its vehicle barns.
Some informational items include the September 2023 Community Corrections Department Update, an update on the county's properties, an update from the County Administrator, Phillip Smith-Hanes and comments from county commissioners.
