The Smoky Hill Museum has scheduled a public come-and-go gathering with regional jewelry artists on Saturday.
Jerry Drummond and Sandy Clanton of Wheat State Emporium in Minneapolis will be on hand for the event, which is scheduled for 1-4 p.m. Saturday at the store inside the museum, 211 W. Iron Avenue.
The two artists will be on hand to answer questions and discuss their artwork, according to information from the museum.
Additionally, all jewelry in the museum store will be on sale. This includes jewelry by other regional artists such as Sondra Forsberg (rolled paper jewelry) and Nancy Overmyer’s Gooseberry Lane (gourd art), as well as manufactured Kansas-themed jewelry.
"This is a perfect time to start your Mother’s Day shopping. The museum store has a wide variety of regional and Kansas products, local artwork, and gifts," the museum noted in a news release.
