Texas man arrested after alleged assault at Casey's parking lot

Salina Police arrest Texas man who allegedly assaulted a woman at a Casey's parking lot.

According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on Sunday, September 7 at around 8:30 pm, a witness called police of seeing an alleged assault take place at Casey's on the 2400 block of S. 9th.

Reportedly, the witness stated a female was in the driver's seat of a parked car with a male passenger in the Casey's parking lot, when allegedly the man started 'strangling and punching' the woman.

When the man saw the witness, the vehicle drove away with the woman as the driver and went northbound onto I-135. Officers later located the vehicle from the description of the witness report, northbound on mile marker 91.

Officers conducted a traffic stop and found a 23-year old woman from Winnsboro, TX, and a 22-year old man identified as Milique Zirretta from Silver Springs, TX. Officers discovered the woman had blood, with a cut above her right eye and an abrasion on her arm.

Zirretta was then taken into custody without incident and was booked into the Saline County Jail for the following requested charges:

Aggravated Domestic Battery, Criminal Damage to Property, Battery and Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.

SPD stated Zirretta and the victim are acquainted.
