OTTAWA COUNTY—A Kansas woman was injured in an accident just after 10 p.m. Sunday in Ottawa County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Dodge Ram driven by Brian L. Bogard, Henryetta, Oklahoma, was northbound on U.S. Highway 81 one half mile south of Kansas Highway 18.
The pickup lost the right rear tire. The tire crossed the northbound passing lane, median, and southbound passing lane and struck a southbound 2021 Chevy Blazer driven by Larry R. Wagner, 70, Hutchinson.
EMS transported a passenger in the Chevy identified as Charlotte M. Wagner, 64, Hutchinson, to Salina Regional Health Center. Bogard and Larry Wagner were not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
