A great crowd of Salina residents gathered on a sunny Tuesday afternoon to support the escort in honor of fallen deputy officer, Brandon Gaede.

Crowds across Salina gathered together on highway overpasses in the Salina/Saline County area on Tuesday in honor of fallen officer Gaede, who died in the line of duty on Friday, June 27th.

At around 1:30 pm, Kansas law enforcement and larger first responder community drove through Salina, north of 1-135.

Kansas law enforcement continued their route towards Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel in Phillipsburg, KS which is their final destination.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 3rd. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 5th at 10:30 am. Both events are open to the public and will occur at the Huck Boyd Community Center, 860 Park St., Phillipsburg.

Immediately following funeral services, interment will be at Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, 576 W. Osage Road, Stuttgart, KS.

For members of the public attending funeral services, parking will be available at Phillipsburg High School (410 S. 7th St). Buses will be available to transport attendees to the Huck Boyd Community Center.
