Kathryn L (Briscoe) Miller

Kathryn L (Briscoe) Miller, 96, of Goddard, Kansas, passed away, Monday, November 2, 2020. She was born and raised in Lincoln County, Kansas, working for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. as an operator after high school. She married Vernon S Miller in May 1946 and they moved to Salina, Kansas in 1954, where she lived for 60 years. In May 2014, she moved to Goddard, to be close to family.

She worked for the Salina Public School District, as a baker at Salina Central High School for more than ten years and then returned to work for SWBT and retired in 1981. She loved to travel, garden, bake, sew and quilt. She was involved at the Salina Senior Center for many years and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1432 Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and B. Lillian Briscoe, her husband of 42 years, Vernon and her son-in-law Billy Honse.

She is survived by her daughter Brenda, grandsons Eric (Katelyn) and Loren (Mariah,) four great grandchildren, Bear, Evie, Corbin and Rome and her nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service Friday, November 6, 2020 at Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina at 1 p.m.
