
Nita M. Boster, 91, Bennington, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. She was born Nita Young on January 24, 1934, in Salina, to John Alvin and Bennie (Hite) Young.
Nita was a graduate of Bennington High School. She and Charles D. Boster were married on August 6, 1955, at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina. She and Charlie owned and operated Boster Lumber Company for many years. Nita was longtime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Minneapolis, where she enjoyed singing in the choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles on May 23, 2017.
Survivors are her children, Mark and wife Renata, Lynne and husband Robert Hagmeier, Marcia and husband Carlos Ibarra, Jay and wife Susie, and Jeff and wife Valerie; brother, Richard Young; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, June 20, at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467.
A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, June 21, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in the Bennington Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bennington Senior Center or Tammy Walker Center and be left in care of the funeral home.
