North Saline County home uninhabitable after suffering from electrical related fire.
According to the Saline County Sheriff's Office on January 23 in the afternoon, a house fire occurred in north Saline County.
The female homeowner stated she heard a "popping" noise and smelled electrical burning in her house. She was able to exit out of the house safely with her pet.
The house had significant damage from the fire and smoke, which made it uninhabitable.
Rural FD #5 responded to the fire and extinguished it.
The cause of fire is suspected to be an electrical issue. According to the Sheriff's Office the homeowner had space heaters and a television on, before the fire.
