A woman was arrested after threatening a teenage girl with a knife inside a home.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on Sunday, August 17th at around noon, a teenage girl called police about her female relative threatening her with a knife inside a home in South Salina.
SPD immediately arrived to the home and arrested 30-year old, Maria Perez-Aguilar without incident. According to SPD, Perez-Aguilar was going through a 'mental-health crisis' when she threatened the girl.
Perez-Aguilar was transported to Salina Regional Health Center for a medical evaluation. She is facing requested charges of Aggravated Assault and Child Endangerment.
