Kansas Wesleyan women's tennis dropped a 7-0 decision to the Evangel University Valor on Saturday afternoon at the Salina Tennis Center.
It was the first meeting between the teams in a Kansas Conference match as the Valor have joined the KCAC in tennis for the spring season ahead of becoming a full conference member for next year.
Evangel won all three matches in doubles play.
Abigail and Rachel Chaney beat Michaela Crowe (JR/Overland Park, Kan.) and Kristi Henderson (JR/Acton, Calif.) 6-2; Alexia Phipps and Maddeline Peters beat Eliza Camp (SO/Winfield, Kan.) and Kaitlyn Wrye (SO/Olathe, Kan.) 6-1; and Lola Federski and Lidia Bjelica beat Kira McGrown (FR/Wichita, Kan.) and Ania Bonner (FR/Midwest City, Okla.) 6-0.
Evangel also swept the singles flights.
Abigail Chaney beat Crowe 6-3, 6-4; Rachel Chaney beat Henderson 6-3, 6-3; Federski beat McGrown 6-0, 6-0; Peters beat Camp 6-3, 6-2; Phipps beat Wrye 6-0, 6-0; and Bjelica beat Kyra Nolan (FR/Tribune, Kan.) 6-0, 6-1.
The Coyotes are at Bethany on Thursday.
