UPDATE: Minor quakes rattle SE Saline County on Tuesday

UPDATE 10 a.m. Wednesday: A second earthquake rattled part of southeastern Saline County Tuesday night. This time it was a bit east-southeast of the first quake of the day.

A 2.1 magnitude quake struck at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday southwest of Gypsum, according to the Kansas Geological Survey. It was centered just west of S. Niles Road between E. Hedberg Road and E. Assaria Road.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 2.2 magnitude quake struck at 5:43 p.m. Tuesday east of Assaria. It was centered just north of Assaria Road between S. Woodward Road and S. Simpson Road.
