CONCORDIA -- For the second time in three weeks, Cloud County Community College freshman baseball pitcher Kolby Dougan has been named Kansas Jayhawk Community College baseball pitcher of the week.

Dougan once again showed that no moment has been too big for the Topeka, Kansas native in the opening month of the season as the freshman would lead Cloud County to a series opening win over number-10 ranked and previously undefeated Cowley on Thursday afternoon. Getting the start against a Tiger squad that entered the game averaging 20.5 runs per contest, Dougan shut down Cowley to allow just one run on four hits in five innings of work as the T-Birds rolled to a 12-3 series opening win. The victory would set the tone for Cloud County for the rest of the weekend as CCCC would split a four-game series with the Tigers.

Dougan has now won two of the three KJCCC Pitcher of the Week Awards given out during the 2021 season after winning the award back on Feb. 23.
