A car flipped onto its top after striking a truck in south Salina Monday afternoon.

Breanna Martin 21, of Salina, was southbound in the 2800 block of South Ninth Street in a 1998 Nissan Altima when she failed to maintain a lane of traffic, striking a 2019 International truck owned by Penske Leasing in the right rear, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning. The truck was driven by Keely Vaughn, 35, of Salina. The accident occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m. Monday.

The impact of the collision caused the Altima to flip onto its top.

No one was injured in the accident, Forrester noted. The Altima sustained disabling damage and has to be towed from the scene. There was no damage report about the truck, which was removed by Vaughn.

Martin was cited for driving on landed roadways and no proof of insurance, Forrester reported.
