On Monday the brackets for this year's Sterling Invitational were revealed, including the first-round matchups for the Southeast of Saline Trojans and Lady Trojans.
Both brackets will consist of the same field of eight teams, each guaranteed three games, with SES joining Sterling, Smoky Valley, Hutch Trinity, Lyons, Hugoton, Scott City, and Kingman in tournament play.
Action from Sterling gets underway on Monday, with the top-seeded Southeast boys' team (7-0) taking on 8-seeded Smoky Valley (2-4) at 7:30 in a rematch of a 78-38 Trojan victory from earlier this season.
The winner of that contest will advance to the semifinal round to face either Lyons (4-3) or Scott City (4-4) at 5:30 on Thursday, while the loser will head to the back half of the bracket for a game at 4:00 on Tuesday.
On the girl's side, the Lady Trojans, also the one-seed at 6-1, will open bracket play against the eight-seed in Sterling (1-7) at 6:00 on Tuesday.
The winner of that game will head to the semis at 6:00 on Thursday to meet either 3-3 Smoky Valley or 3-4 Hugoton, with the losers of those two contests meeting in the relegation bracket at 3:00 on Thursday.
Action from Sterling concludes on Friday with the third-place and championship games being held at Sterling College from 3:00-7:30.
