Salina Police arrest male suspect for violating protection order and operating stolen vehicle.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on Saturday, October 18 at around 3:00 pm, an officer on patrol noticed a male acting suspiciously after he exited a white Kia Soul in the 500 block of N. 12th.
Reportedly, the man when he saw the officer, immediately pulled over and started walking away. The officer then approached the man and found a woman inside the vehicle. It was determined the man had a protection from abuse order with the woman.
Afterwards, the officer arrested Braiden Cooley, 25. During the arrest, it was also learned the vehicle was stolen out of Sedgwick County and displayed an altered tag.
Cooley was booked into the Saline County Jail for the requested charges of Violation of Protection Order and Possession of Stolen Property.
