The Salina Family YMCA is offering an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course in February for individuals interested in becoming certified lifeguards.

This 4-day comprehensive training covers essential skills including water rescue techniques, first aid, CPR, and emergency response. 

Participants will be challenged as they learn what it takes to safely respond in aquatic emergencies. A swim test will be conducted at the start of the course, and participants must pass in order to continue with the training.

Lifeguard certification is a valuable skill for anyone looking to gain lifesaving knowledge, improve confidence in the water, or prepare for aquatic leadership roles in a variety of settings. 

An American Red Cross certificate will be distributed upon completion of the course.
