The Salina Family YMCA is inviting area adults to stay active, connect with others, and enjoy some friendly competition through its new Adult Drop-In Sports series this fall.

Designed for participants of all skill levels, the coed recreational programs offer a fun, welcoming environment where community members can enjoy sports without the commitment of joining a league. Whether participants are rediscovering a favorite pastime or trying a new activity for the first time, the focus is on fitness, recreation, and building community.

"Our goal is to provide opportunities for adults to stay active and have fun in a relaxed setting," said Jessica Biegert, Salina Family YMCA Sports Director. "These drop-in sports are a great way to meet new people, get some exercise, and enjoy the social side of sports."

Upcoming Events

Drop-In Volleyball Tuesdays in September 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Drop-In Pickleball Wednesdays in September 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Drop-In Ultimate Frisbee Sundays, September 13 - October 11 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Participation fees are $5 per session for YMCA members, $10 per session for non-members, and FREE for Kansas Wesleyan University students.

The YMCA encourages individuals to come out, bring a friend, and enjoy an active hour of recreation each week. With an emphasis on fun, inclusivity, and community engagement, the programs are designed to make it easy for adults to stay involved and active throughout the fall. Additional adult sports opportunities coming soon at the Y.
