Tony Wilcox, 75, of Salina, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home, on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
Tony was born in Yale, OK on Oct 1, 1948. He was the second oldest of seven children.
Tony was raised in Lyons, KS where he attended grade school and graduated high school in 1968. During high school he enjoyed playing basketball.
After graduation he was Deployed to Vietnam with the Army where he served 1 year and 8 months in heavy artillery operations.
Upon returning from Vietnam and later being Honorably Discharged, he married Sandra L. Duft on July 18, 1970 in Alden, KS.
Tony furthered his career in heavy equipment construction and in the oilfield as well as doing building/road construction.
During his free time, he loved spending it with friends and family. Tony had a love for music where he taught himself to play the guitar and banjo. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, and woodworking, where he made multiple sets of constructions fleets for his grandkids to enjoy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Roy D. and Ellen Wilcox; brother: Ron Wilcox; sisters: Shirley Akers and Sandi Dier.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024, 10:00 AM at Roselawn Memorial Heights Chapel in Salina, KS. Inurnment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Salina, KS. Memorials may be sent to the Marfan Foundation or the Tunnels to Towers.
