Rosemary Divilbiss, 87, of Salina, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Salina on February 7, 1938, Rosemary was the daughter of Elverda Malmstrom and Richard Hemmy. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1955.

Rosemary met the love of her life, David Divilbiss, at a 4-H barn dance during high school. They were married on May 18, 1973, and recently celebrated 52 years of marriage.She worked at Sunset School, where she took great joy in caring for the children and being part of their daily lives. She also worked retail at Sears where she met many of her good friends. Outside of work, Rosemary loved gardening, cheering on K-State football, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, David; her children: Mike Moody (Jan), Steve Moody (Rosie), Tim Green (Rhonda), Richard Divilbiss (Julie), Randy Divilbiss (Deena), Daniel Divilbiss (Carey), and Kristi Fisher (Brian); her siblings: Paul Hemmy (Sharon), Jim Hemmy (Theresa), Bill Hemmy (Toby), Jerry Hemmy (Lori), John Hemmy (Mary), Marilyn Edwards (Beau), Barbara Marsh (Eddy), and Joyce Hemmy.Rosemary also leaves behind 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Larry Hemmy and Richard Hemmy Jr.; and sisters Carolyn Hemmy Hartle, Darlene Hemmy Williams, Jolene Hemmy, and Janice Hemmy Brown.

A rosary will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, August 22, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Salina.

The funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 23, 2025, also at St. Mary’s, with burial to follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery.
