Police are looking for a white car that is believed to be involved in a hit-and-run accident early Saturday morning.
Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning that at approximately 2:15 a.m. Saturday an eastbound vehicle struck a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 that was legally parked along the south curbline in the 1300 block of W. Cloud Street. The vehicle then fled the scene.
The pickup had substantial driver's side damage. A white fender, believed to belong to the suspect car, was left at the scene. Forrester said police ran the part number and have determined that the fender belongs to a 2016-2019 Honda Civic. It is believed the car will have extensive passenger-side damage, he said.
Additionally, a witness reported seeing a white car leaving the scene eastbound on W. Cloud Street.
