Eddie Jay Freeman, 67, Junction City, formerly of Minneapolis, died Monday, June 27, 2022, at his home with his family at his side. Eddie was born December 5, 1954, in Salina to Edward J. and Arlene (Crist) Freeman.
Eddie was a 1973 graduate of Minneapolis High School and he worked at Great Plains in Salina and Abilene for over 25 years. Eddie and Vera Smith were married on November 10, 1973, in Minneapolis.
He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Jerry.
Survivors are his wife Vera; daughter Brandy Egbarts and her husband Martin; son Joe Freeman; mother Arlene Crist; sisters Carol Freeman and Janet Meade; grandchildren Tyler Hohner and his wife Miranda, Quinn Egbarts, and Raylee Freeman; and great-grandchildren Levi and Carter Hohner.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467. Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to be designated later and may be left in care of the funeral home.
