The SES Lady Trojans will head into the Sterling Invitational riding high after a 60-30 win over the Beloit Trojans tonight.

With this win, Southeast is back to .500 at 4-4 while Beloit falls to 0-3.

SES was led by freshman Maddie Harris, who finished with a career high 19 points.

Coach Smith noted before the game that she wanted to see more of her players step up and contribute on the scoreboard, and her players responded, with scoring contributions from ten different players, including a double-digit performance from another freshman in Lexi Jacobsen.

No one for Beloit finished the game in double digits, as 22 turnovers took many scoring opportunities away from a team still trying to find its bearings.

In the last five meetings between Southeast and Beloit, the team on the road has won. SES will look to break that streak when they welcome this Beloit team to Gypsum on February 9th.

The Lady Trojans will be back in action when the Sterling Invitational tips off next week, beginning tournament play with a game against 4-3 Hutch Trinity on Monday.
