Vacating roads, coronavirus funding allocations, and a review of the COVID-19 situation in Saline County concerning the mask mandate are among the items on the Saline County Commission agenda for Tuesday.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday via Zoom and the county's YouTube channel. This decision to revise the meeting format was made to align with the mass gathering limitations imposed by the Saline County Commission and Saline County Health Officer.

If citizens wish to speak, either during the public forum or when the Chairman requests public comment on an item, they must raise their hand so that the meeting host can allow them to speak.
Citizens can also send comments or questions to County Commissioners via email by going to the website www.saline.org and clicking on the County Commissioner’s page under the Department tab. Please send any emails prior to the Sunday before the meeting when possible.
Agenda items
Commissioners are scheduled to consider the distribution of $120,000 in Community Development Block Grant -- Coronavirus funds. According to commission meeting packet information, 13 applications were received. A committee made up of two county staff members, to county commissioners, and a citizen at large reviewed the applications and made the following recommendations for the awarding of the funds. Commissioners must approve the recommendations before the funds can be disbursed.

Commissioners also are scheduled to consider vacating portions of the following three roads.
●A portion of South Niles Road south of Tinkler Road
●A portion of Frontage Road in the Commerford Tract
●A portion of West Schilling Road west of South Halstead Road

●Consider an extension to emergency paid sick leave as it pertains to COVID-19 -- Marilyn Leamer, human resources director
