Harold Eugene Wilson

Harold Eugene Wilson, better known as Gator, age 90, entered into his rest on May 18, 2024. He was born on April 20, 1934, in Moncks Corner, South Carolina to Martha and Lawrence Wilson.
Eugene met Shirley Somers while stationed at Fort Riley during his time in the U.S. Army. They wed on May 1, 1956, and to this union, four children joined the family. Eugene worked as a welder and fabricator, setting up blasters all over the globe for Vacu-Blast and CMF. He spent much of his free time on the softball diamond and out in the field hunting.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley; daughter Kelly Karber; sisters, Jacqueline Forte and Doris Johnson; and brother Clifford Wilson.
Eugene will be remembered by those who loved him most for his love of sports and crazy stories. Survivors include his children, Cheryl & Russell Mohr, Pete & Patty Wilson, Stacy & Brent Wilson; 10 grandchildren and their spouses, which he claimed as his own; 20 great-grandchildren whom he loved fiercely; and sister Betty Jane Britt.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the Delphos Cemetery, Delphos. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dickenson County Hospice and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
