Peggy Marie Sorensen was born February 2, 1943 in Belleville Kansas, Peggy departed this earthly life August 6th, 2024 at her home in Abilene. Peggy had recently talked about seeing her parents Viola and Virgil White in heaven.

Peggy had two older sisters, Phyllis and Barbara. Peggy was united in marriage on May 27, 1962 to Robert Sorensen. Peggy and Bob liven in Emporia for four years. In 1966 Abilene became their new home. The last several years Peggy;s entertainment was taking day trips in the car. Many times she commented “isn’t Abilene a nice town”.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, her in-laws, aunts and uncles. She is survived by her husband Robert, nephews and cousins. Peggy loved nature, especially birds and animals, Peggy and Bob lived on their “hobby farm” by Brown’s Park for 43 years where Peggy enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens.

Bob and Peggy were married for 62 years and 2 months, Bob will truly miss his partner and companion. Cremation has been selected and there will be no local services.
