It’s been a rough start to the 2021 season for the Sacred Heart Knights, who sit at 0-4 heading into the second half of the season.

The Knights have faced a brutal schedule so far, including two of the best teams in Class 1A in #3 Inman and #2 Smith Center, and a 2A school in the Ellsworth Bearcats.

While Sacred Heart has been outscored 202-14 throughout this stretch, they will have a golden opportunity for a big turnaround throughout the second half of their season.

The Knights will get a crack at three winless opponents over the course of the next three weeks, hosting Ellinwood (0-4) before traveling to Wichita Independent (0-2) and Oakley (0-4).

Sophomore quarterback Evan Bogart will have a chance to build on his early-season numbers as well.

Through four games Bogart has completed 44% of his passes for just under 200 yards and a touchdown through the air, while adding 151 yards and another touchdown on the ground.

The season finale for the Knights will not be an easy one as their week eight opponent is another top 10 1A opponent in the 3-1 Plainville Cardinals.

Sacred Heart will be back in action this Friday to take on the Ellinwood Eagles, kickoff is scheduled for 7pm in Salina.
